SexyCakes is a college-campus food delivery business established in late 2019. They do on-demand breakfast food delivery anywhere on Tulane University campus. Nebula Consulting worked with SexyCakes to create a new web-based ordering platform as well as a foundational order tracking solution.
The SexyCakes logo underwent a full redesign to better represent the brand and to appeal to the key demographic – college students. The main logotype is a custom letter treatment that draws from the irreverence and playfulness of the company. Its versatility lends itself well to future scaling, and allows it to remain effective in a variety of contexts, including patterns and packaging.
The main objective of the website redesign was to create a clean, modern ordering platform that delivers a no-edges ordering experience to users. Their existing web ordering platform limited users, causing SexyCakes to lose out on easy potential revenue solely from customers being unable to add toppings and extras to menu items. The new design allows customers more flexibility as well as a more intuitively designed checkout flow.
